Anahita and Shayal went the extra mile in guiding me with the types of frames and took me to their framer and got everything organised for me. Wow! They’re a powerful duo!

I’m the happy owner of two Arup Lodh racecourse scenes that bring back childhood memories of the Calcutta racecourse! And two hauntingly beautiful scenes of Benares in the evening by Ranadip Mukherjee.
I had them framed here in Singapore and the three clients in the store along with the framers, ooohed and aaahed over the paintings!

Before Laxman Aelay chose to become a professional artist, he was a signboard painter and then a much sought after and respected designer and illustrator of books. He went on to enroll in college for a degree in Fine Arts, even though he had already received a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He received his BA in Painting from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Fine Arts in Hyderabad and took up full-time freelance painting straight after that. His artistic journey is deeply rooted in nostalgia, reflecting the rural landscapes and people of his village, Kadirenigudem. His paintings are brimming with their emotions and the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives. He infuses his paintings with their warmth and color. His most recognizable works are his black and white compositions, set against brightly painted backgrounds.
Aelay has received international recognition as well as several awards and gold medals for his works including one from the Hyderabad Art Society in 1995. Notably, he was entrusted with creating the Telangana state logo in India. He remains deeply connected to his roots, expressing immense pride in his village origins. His journey reflects his love and attachment to his people and culture.
